It’s Muijo’s fifth anniversary and for the occasion, the company has designed and produced a limited run of 50 Wooden Cases – with 10 representing each year of Mujjo (www.muijo.com).
The case is made by hand in Greece. Muijo used reclaimed American Walnut veneer, taken from the furniture industry. The company says that “it comes to life when the layers of veneer are pressed together to form its iconic silhouette, it then goes through several stages of sanding – all performed by hand – to ensure a smooth finish.”
It’s enclosed with a stainless steel door panel, hand-crafted by an experienced metal worker. A MacBook touches nothing but the signature vegetable tanned leather in black.
The Muijo anniversary case is made to securely carry the a 13-inch MacBook Pro (2015 and 2016) and the 12-inch MacBook. It costs €289.17.
