Customers in the United States can order a Twentieth Anniversary Macintosh
through any Apple Specialist. Apple Specialists are a special group of
Apple Authorized Resellers who dedicate a majority of their staff and
services to Apple products, and who have the highest level of service
certification from Apple. Apple Specialists have been chosen as the
facilitators for U.S. distribution of the Twentieth Anniversary Macintosh.

sending an email to Apple at: 20years@apple.com. An Apple representative
will respond to the request within two business days.

In the United States, The Twentieth Anniversary Macintosh is priced at
approximately U.S. $7,500 plus applicable tax. It comes with a special
concierge service, which includes a three-year limited hardware warranty,
three years of toll-free telephone support, and delivery and set-up of the
product. Apple is manufacturing a limited quantity of the Twentieth
Anniversary Macintosh, so the product is available on a first-come,
first-served basis.

Apple is offering the Twentieth Anniversary Macintosh in the United States,
Japan, and parts of Europe, and the Company is currently accepting orders
in those countries. Customers outside the United States can find out more
information about ordering a Twentieth Anniversary Macintosh on the Apple
website: http://twentiethanniversary.apple.com.

The Twentieth Anniversary Macintosh offers a careful integration of human
interface aspects that sets a new standard for computer design. “We were
looking to define a radically new solution in Industrial Design when we
began designing the Twentieth Anniversary Macintosh,” said Jonathan Ive,
Apple’s senior director of Industrial Design. “Its smooth integration of
personal computer and consumer appliance are clear indications of the
future of technology design.”

The Twentieth Anniversary Macintosh offers a bright, flat-panel display
that renders lifelike images in thousands of colors. The same design also
contributes to a slim footprint, which greatly simplifies placement of the
Twentieth Anniversary Macintosh in the home or the office.

In addition to the CD-ROM drive and 12.1-inch diagonal active matrix
screen, the Twentieth Anniversary Macintosh concept features a fast 250-MHz
603e PowerPC processor, a 2GB hard drive and 32MB of RAM. Standard
Macintosh SCSI and serial ports also are included, as well as an S-video in
port with a conversion cable for composite video.

The sound system of the Twentieth Anniversary Macintosh was custom-designed
by Bose Corporation, one of the world’s leading audio technology company.
Wide-range speakers flank the Twentieth Anniversary Macintosh and are
augmented by a separate Acoustimass module that delivers deep, rich bass.
The result is the first computer sound system that envelops the user. The
Acoustimass module, designed to be placed on the floor and out of sight,
also cleverly hides the power supply and is connected to the main unit with
just one cable.
