Adobe Announces Adobe Dynamic Media Studio

New Collection Combines Industry-Leading Adobe Solutions at a Savings
of More Than $1,000

San Jose, Calif., (Jan. 4, 1999) (Nasdaq:ADBE) – In response to the
increasing need for software solutions that allow users to create
compelling content for video, multimedia and the Web, Adobe Systems
Incorporated today introduced its new Dynamic Media Studio. A tightly
integrated collection of award winning, high performance Adobe
applications, the Adobe Dynamic Media Studio includes Adobe After
Effects 4.0 (Production Bundle), Adobe Premiere 5.1, Adobe
Photoshop 5.0.2 and Adobe Illustrator 8.0, at an exceptional cost
savings of more than $1,000.

“Across the board, research shows that a large number of our
customers use two or more Adobe software applications as a part of
their daily workflow,” said Ron Okamoto, director, Professional
Publishing Solutions at Adobe. “For example, roughly 90 percent of
After Effects users also work with Adobe Photoshop. The new Dynamic
Media Studio is ideally suited for these users because it offers a
single yet complete solution with industry standard products and an
intuitive workflow across applications – all at an extremely
attractive price.”

The similarities in interface, menu commands and keyboard shortcuts
throughout all Adobe applications in the Dynamic Media Studio enable
film, video, graphic designers, 3D animators and multimedia
professionals to efficiently and swiftly transition between projects
that incorporate both still and motion images. The collection
provides the most full-featured solution on the market for image
creation and manipulation of motion graphics, enhanced visual effects
and powerful nonlinear editing in graphics and post-production
environments. In addition, the collection offers customers an
outstanding value with significant cost savings.

“Better integration across Adobe’s software allows us more freedom to
experiment and lets us focus on design,” said Terry Green, partner at
twenty2product, a San Francisco-based firm that produces broadcast
and corporate motion graphics for companies such as Nike,
Hewlett-Packard, Chevron USA and Levi-Strauss & Company. “For most
projects, we’ll start with Photoshop and Illustrator to visualize
layered compositions and type treatments. Then we’ll use Premiere for
editing live action and working out animation sequences. Finally,
everything goes into After Effects for color-correction, filtering
and compositing. Producing client work in-house with Adobe’s software
cuts our cost of doing business by 75 percent. And, it makes sense
for Adobe to provide these programs as a package since we use them
together anyway.”

Pricing and Availability
Priced at $3,495 U.S. and available in early February 1999, the Adobe
Dynamic Media Studio can only be purchased through Adobe’s authorized
premium value added resellers (VARs) in the U.S. and Canada. The
Adobe Dynamic Media Studio is also available in other countries
around the world; for more information go to:
