WEBSTORM 2.5 – Power Your Way Thru’ The Web
SharpeWare has released version 2.5 of WebStorm, a program that takes
the pain out of searching the Web. WebStorm takes care of finding
and reviewing the text from the links you need; checking their
performance and age and managing their browsing. No need to wait for
slow-loading search sites packed with advertising graphics – cut
straight to the results you want.
Now with SiteStorm technology, WebStorm version 2.5 will also take
any site then find and check all links to other sites – even
following pages within the site to build a single, complete and
easy-to-browse list of checked links. And alongside each good link
WebStorm displays an extract of the actual page.
Whether obtained from search sites, or SiteStorm, checked results can
be saved as formatted web documents – or exported into other
programs. A history of past searches, and their results, is
maintained automatically – together with a handy index page to share
them via any browser.
You determine which sets of search sites to use and what keywords
you’re interested in finding. WebStorm does the rest – with
everything controlled from one simple toolbar. Whether using Dial-up
or Firewall access to the Internet, WebStorm manages the entire
process. With Dial-up access WebStorm will automatically dial-up,
connect and when finished, disconnect the line.
WebStorm lets you filter your results further – remove unwanted
results with the Stop Lists and never be bothered by them again –
whether it’s a particular site, or a word or phrase in a title that
you want to ignore. Instantly identify those links that have
recently been updated and see their country or state of origin.
WebStorm uses color-coded icons to highlight slow, moved or broken
links.
And also new to version 2.5 — with one click review link details
ranging from who’s registered the domain and the ‘freshness’ of the
site, to the company’s latest SEC figures.
WebStorm integrates easily with Navigator or Internet Explorer – or
most other Browsers. Bookmarks from your favorite browser are
automatically highlighted when reviewing your results – and you can
even add a link to your Browser from within WebStorm with the click
of your mouse.
SharpeWare provide free updates to search site information via an
automated download from their Web site. You can also add your own
favorite search site to any collection of sites quickly and easily
via the ‘Add New Site’ wizard.
WebStorm v2.5 remains priced at US$34 when buyers provide an E-mail
address (US$39 otherwise) and is a 32-bit program designed for
Windows 9x or NT. WebStorm can be ordered directly using its own
