Lasso Product Line to be featured at several locations and sessions
throughout Macworld Expo in San Francisco
Bellevue, WA–January 5, 2000–Blue World Communications,
Inc.–pioneers of the Web Data Engine–today announced their presence
at this week’s Macworld Expo at Moscone Center in San Francisco. Blue
World and partners will showcase Lasso Web Data Engine and Lasso
Studio for Dreamweaver at several key locations, provide hand-ons
training and invite show attendees to a grand party in celebration of
success in the Year 2000.

Blue World Stations at Macworld
In support its focus on business customers, the Blue World booth is
located in the Small Business Pavilion (#3959) in the North Hall. Blue
World will showcase the recently released Lasso Studio for
Dreamweaver–the new solution to quickly build powerful data-driven
Web applications–and Lasso Web Data Engine–the leading solution to
quickly deploy powerful data-driven Web applications on Macintosh and
beyond. Blue World will demonstrate editions of the Lasso Web Data
Engine for 4D Server (see today’s related announcement from Blue World
and ACI US), FileMaker Pro and ODBC. Leading Lasso Web hosting and Web
application development firm RFA Digital will showcase their
FMPHOST.NET Web hosting and Lasso consulting services at the Blue
World booth.
Blue World will freely distribute a limited quantity of Lasso Studio
for Dreamweaver t-shirts and invitations to the Blue World and
partners party on Friday January 7. Blue World is also a participant
in the Macworld Expo Corporate Buyers Alliance program.
Lasso Web Data Engine will be featured at the ACI US booth in the
Small Business Pavilion (#3959) where ACI US and Blue World will
demonstrate Lasso Web Data Engine for 4D Server providing
multi-threaded performance over twice as fast as connectivity options
to common desktop databases such as FileMaker Pro.
MacCommerce alliance partners Blue World Communications, Imacination
Software and StarNine Technologies once again join forces to showcase
the MacCommerce Bundle, cited by Apple Computer as the best e-commerce
solution for Macintosh. The MacCommerce bundle is comprised of Lasso
Web Data Engine, Ch-Ching! e-commerce enabler and WebSTAR Server Suite
and will be showcased and sold at the StarNine booth (#3545).
Macromedia will feature Lasso Studio for Dreamweaver in their
Macromedia booth (#1807) theater presentation of the recently released
Dreamweaver 3, showing how to quickly build a Lasso-powered
data-driven e-commerce catalog with a front-end designed in
Dreamweaver.
Lasso Featured in Training and Conference Sessions
Blue World and Imacination Software have partnered to provide free
hands-on training for quickly building online stores using Lasso
Studio for Dreamweaver, Lasso Web Data Engine and Ch-Ching!. The free
sessions will occur from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM each day of the show
(Wednesday through Saturday) in the Apple Hands-on Training area near
the Small Business Pavilion (#3959).
Lasso Studio for Dreamweaver and Lasso Web Data Engine will be
showcased by Web database consulting expert Bob Cusick in his Macworld
User Conference session entitled “FileMaker and the Web-Just Do It!”
from 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM on Thursday, January 6.
The Lasso Product Line and e-commerce will be discussed by small
business consulting expert Alan George in his Macworld User Conference
session entitled “Internet Innovations for Small Business” from 11:00
AM to 12:15 PM on Thursday, January 6.
Lasso Web Hosting Providers at Macworld
In addition to RFA Digital’s FMPHOST.NET Web hosting service featured
at the Blue World booth in the Small Business Pavilion (#3959),
digital.forest and edition.net will feature Lasso Web hosting and
consulting services. digital.forest will be exhibiting in the Net
Innovators Pavilion (#3458) and will debut Lasso-based Ch-Ching
commerce hosting packages starting at just $49 per month. Also in the
Net Innovators Pavilion, edition.net will showcase their Lasso Web
hosting and consutling services.
Blue World and Partners Party
Blue World, ACI US, and RFA Digital will host a party Friday, January
7 from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM to celebrate success in the Year 2000.
There will be prizes, software raffles, free billiards and other games
as well as plenty of free food and drink. Macworld Expo attendees are
invited to visit the booths of Blue World and partners for party
invitations and additional details.
