Neon Software Announces CyberGauge Version 3.0

Powerful Internet Management Application Adds Alerts, Comprehensive Billing
and Quality of Service (QOS) Report Generation

LAFAYETTE, CA – April 26, 2000
Neon Software announced today CyberGauge 3.0, a significant upgrade to
their popular Internet bandwidth measurement application. CyberGauge 3.0
enhancements feature alerts for both non-responsive devices and for traffic
thresholds, and comprehensive billing and Quality of Service (QOS) report
generation.

CyberGauge is an inexpensive yet powerful Internet management utility which
allows users to monitor and analyze the throughput of virtually every
Internet router available on the market. Based on the industry standard
management protocol, SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol), CyberGauge
can also be used to determine bandwidth utilization on many
network-connected devices, such as switches and hubs.

“Quality of Service reporting was a natural extension of CyberGauge’s
Internet connectivity monitoring capability.” said Michael Swan, Chief
Technical Officer of Neon Software. “Additionally, the new alerts feature
maximizes uptime, since many sites keep CyberGauge runnning 24/7.”

CyberGauge provides the answers to critical questions facing businesses
today, such as, is my network connection “maxed out?” Are users being
turned away from my web site during peak periods? Is my Internet server
down?

CyberGauge 3.0 Feature Enhancements
* Alerts for both non-responsive devices and for interface traffic
thresholds via pager and email. If CyberGauge tries to query the device for
bandwidth information and gets no response, it automatically sends the
designated contact a page or email. Traffic thresholds can be set on an
interface by interface basis. If a particular interface records data above,
for example, 80% utilization for a period of time, CyberGauge then
automatically sends the designated contact a page or email.

* Comprehensive billing and Quality of Service (QOS) report generation.
Reports can be generated on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. Reports
include uptime, total utilization, traffic distribution and percentage
billing information. ISPs who bill multiple users on the basis of their
amount of use will use the QOS feature daily running their business. ISP
subscribers can independently quantify and take a snapshot of their
bandwidth usage, on demand.
