Terra Soft Simplifies Yellow Dog Linux OS Strategy

TERRA SOFT SIMPLIFIES YELLOW DOG LINUX OS PRODUCT STRATEGY

Loveland, CO — 13 September 2000 — Terra Soft Solutions, Inc., the
leading developer of Linux solutions for PowerPC(tm) microprocessors, has
announced the simplification of their Yellow Dog Linux OS product strategy.

There will be only one Yellow Dog Linux as future versions of the popular
Linux distribution will combine technologies developed for both Champion
Server and Gone Home. Terra Soft has been working toward the release of
Yellow Dog Linux Gone Home, a PowerPC Linux distribution designed
specifically for home and small office users that would feature a
consistent, graphical point-and-click installation and maintenance
environment.

Dan Burcaw, Chief Technology Officer for Terra Soft reveals, “There is a
great deal of overlap between the components that make up Champion Server
and Gone Home. Using our new installer technology we can now provide a
tailored installation based upon a user’s experience and requirements.”

In two weeks from this notice, Terra Soft will introduce Champion Server
1.2.1, an update adding support for newer Apple Computer hardware.
Following 1.2.1, Terra Soft will release a major revision –the first
unified Yellow Dog Linux. YDL v2.0 will introduce all of the features
developed for Gone Home and build upon the ongoing development of Champion
Server.

Burcaw continues, “Yellow Dog Linux 2.0 will incorporate the ease-of-use in
development for our Gone Home distribution and the powerful server software
that ships with Champion Server today –Yellow Dog Linux as a server or a
desktop OS.”

Terra Soft will offer server and home user bundles with the brands
“Champion Server” and “Gone Home” that will include 3rd party software such
as backup utilities and games respectively. Both bundles will ship with the
same core Yellow Dog Linux operating system.
