ADVENIO SOFTWARE RELEASES SQLGRINDER 1.0 FOR MAC OS X
Watertown, MA — August 27, 2001 – Advenio Software, a company specializing
in Mac OS X application development, today announced the release and
immediate availability of SQLGrinder 1.0 for Mac OS X.
SQLGrinder, a native Mac OS X SQL editor and developer tool, allows
developers to easily create, edit and execute SQL queries as well as browse
their database structures.
Using SQLGrinder and JDBC drivers, developers can connect to databases that
support JDBC 2.0, including Oracle 8i, MySQL, PostgreSQL, FrontBase,
Openbase SQL, and Microsoft SQL Server. Because SQLGrinder is built using
Apple’s Cocoa framework, it looks and feels like a Macintosh OS X
application and adheres to Apple’s Aqua Human Interface Guidelines.
SQLGrinder provides many tools that add to developer productivity and make
building SQL queries and database schemas easier than it has ever been on
the Macintosh:
– Drop-in support for any database with an available JDBC driver
– Multiple editor windows and schema browsers
– Result sets displayed in data tables
– Export of delimited text from data tables
– Data snapshots that provide temporary result set views
– Interactive query library that maintains query history
– Built with Cocoa, follows the Aqua Human Interface Guidelines
SQLGrinder 1.0 for Mac OS X is available as a free trial download that can
be used without limitations for 30 days. After the trial period is over,
the demo continues to function, but result sets are limited to the first 50
rows of data.
