Belkin today introduced its 802.11b product line, with two products offering Mac support: the Wireless Access Point (US$179.99) and the Wireless Cable/DSL Router ($229.99). The Wireless Access Point lets wireless-equipped computers connect to a wired network, and multiple access points can be used to extend the range of the wireless network, while the Wireless Cable/DSL Router lets users share a broadband Internet connection between multiple computers—both wireless and wired, via a 3-port 10/100 Base-T Ethernet switch—and includes a NAT firewall for network protection. Both products also feature 64/128-bit WEP data encryption. Both products will be available beginning November 1.
