Eastman Kodak has announced that it will acquire ENCAD, a maker of wide-format inkjet printers, for US$25 million. The deal will make ENCAD a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kodak, and will boost Kodak’s profits while placing the company among the top three sellers of wide-format inkjet products.
