Addonics Technologies today announced the release of its Combo CDRW/Copier, a device that allows users to create both original data, music, and video CDs from their computer or duplicate existing CDs without the use of a computer. Employing a 52x CD-ROM as a source drive and a 24x10x40 CD-RW as the destination drive, users can create a duplicate CD in under 4 minutes. The device, which also features Burn-Proof technology for eliminating buffer underrun errors, requires no operating system as a duplication station, but requires a Windows-compatible PC for original CD burning. The Addonics Combo CDRW/Copier is available with a USB 2.0 interface cable (US$429), CardBus cable ($449) or FireWire cable ($469). Interface cables are interchangeable, with additional cables available for order separately.
