Along with lowering prices (see news item below), Epson today introduced the Stylus Pro 7600 and 9600 large-format ink jet printers. The 7600 can handle paper sizes up to 24 inches wide, while the 9600 and print on paper as wide as 44 inches. Both printers feature a 2,880 x 1,440 dpi resolution, support either Epson’s UltraChrome or Photography dye inks, and are available with a variety of interfaces, including USB, FireWire, and 10/100 Ethernet. The Stylus Pro 7600 and Stylus Pro 9600 will ship in June for US$2,995 and $4,995, respectively.
