Concern for computer-related injuries in children grows

New research into the adverse effects of computer use in children has found that many who use a computer are at risk for developing repetitive-motion injuries, according to The Houston Chronicle. One in five college students has symptoms of musculoskeletal problems after just one hour on a computer, and while concrete research on younger children has not yet been established, one study found that a significant number of children utilize a computer set up with poor ergonomics, heightening their risk.
