Apple executive Tim Cook lauded by Business 2.0

Tim Cook, Apple’s Executive Vice President for worldwide sales and operations, is among “The 20 Young Execs You Need To Know,” featured in the June 2002 issue of Business 2.0. “Since Cook signed on at Apple four years ago, he has led a spectacular overhaul of the computer maker’s supply chain… Last year Cook also was handed responsibility for Apple’s sales and customer service — and got a raise to almost $1 million a year, making him the company’s highest-paid exec.” Also interesting: “Apple PR people wouldn’t let Cook be interviewed for this story. Who can blame them? Even without the publicity, headhunters frequently try to lure him away from Apple to run his own company.”
