Troi ClipSave Plug-in 1.1 for FileMaker Pro 5.5

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Troi Automatisering releases Troi ClipSave Plug-in 1.1 for FileMaker Pro 5.5

New plug-in lets you save and restore the clipboard.

Alphen aan den Rijn, The Netherlands, June 25th, 2002–Troi Automatisering
today announced the availability of its Troi ClipSave Plug-in 1.1, for
FileMaker Pro 5 through 5.5.

What is Troi ClipSave Plug-in?

The ClipSave Plug-in can save and restore the clipboard in 2 simple steps.
ClipSave is mainly intended for developers of FileMaker databases wanting
to use ScriptMaker steps that change the clipboard, like for example the
“Copy All Records step”. ClipSave makes it possible to use those steps
without the end user knowing the clipboard was temporarily changed.

Peter Baanen, company president, states that “This is the eleventh plug-in
compatible with Mac OS X, and with this last plug-in we have completed our
porting to Mac OS X. Except for the Sesame Plug-in, all our plug-ins are
now available for every platform FileMaker Pro runs on!”.

Features

– Saves and restores the complete clipboard (including multiple items
on the clipboard)
– Easy to implement
– Cross platform (Mac OS, Mac OS X and Windows95/98/Me and Windows NT/2000/XP)
– Low pricing!

New Features

Troi ClipSave Plug-in 1.1 adds these new functions and features:

– Tested with FileMaker 5.5 and made compatible for Mac OS X. The Mac
OS version of the plug-in is now a so called ‘Super Fat’ plug-in that
will run on Mac OS 8, 9 and Mac OS X.
– Improved Version function, which can show the Flash Dialog and can
return a version build number.
– New user guide and examples in FileMaker 5.x format.

With this plug-in you can use all those clipboard spoiling functions
without messing up the user experience. We invite you to test drive
the new functions and see what you can do with it!

Suggested use

The FileMaker Scripting language has some very useful steps for
developers that change the clipboard. The ClipSave Plug-in can help
with the following ScriptMaker steps:

– Copy Record
– Copy All Records
– Copy (of a Page in Preview mode)
– Copy (of a field, with font and style preserved)
– External function steps from plug-ins that use the clipboard (see
for example our Grabber Plug-in)

About the Sesame Plug-in and Mac OS X

We have now ported all of our plug-ins to Mac OS X, except Troi
Sesame Plug-in. We regrettably have found no way to create the same
functionality of the Sesame Plug-in on Mac OS X. We also no longer
expect to be able to do this. The Sesame Plug-in will continue to be
available for Mac OS 8.x and Mac OS 9.x. More information can be
found on our web site.
