Meetinghouse Data Communications has added support for Mac OS X to its AEGIS line of network authentication software, making it the first company to offer 802.1X-based wireless authentication for the operating system. Meetinghouse bills AEGIS as “an end-to-end 802.1X security solution providing the most secure standards-based user authentication for wired and wireless LANs in enterprise and public access networks.” Beta versions of the client are currently available for download, with the final version slated to ship in August. The Client is priced at US$49.99 per user.
