Media 100 today announced Final Effects Complete for Mac OS X, a set of over 100 software plug-in filters and transitions that generates “Hollywood-style” special effects for film, video, animation, DVD and CD-ROM content. Final Effects Complete allows the user to generate full-featured two-dimensional and three-dimensional particle animations directly within 844/X, Adobe After Effects, Apple Final Cut Pro, and other applications supporting After Effects plug-ins. These particle filters enable video editors to generate rain, snow, fire, smoke, explosions, distortions, jet trails, spotlights, color transitions and other video effects. Final Effects Complete for Mac OS X is priced at US$795 and will be available by the end of the year. Existing Final Effects customers can upgrade for $249. As a limited time introductory promotion, customers can purchase Final Effects Complete for Mac OS X for $695 or upgrade for $199 before February 21, 2003.
