Extensis today announced Portfolio 6.1 for Mac OS X, the latest version of its award-winning Digital Asset Management (DAM) solution. In addition to adding Mac OS X compatibility, Portfolio 6.1, which will ship at the end of January, adds a redesigned user interface, a recently used catalogs menu when Portfolio 6.1 is running, long filename support, and a new batch rename feature. Portfolio 6.1 for Mac OS X will sell for US$199.95 and will be free of charge for registered Portfolio 6 users. Extensis has also announced Mask Pro 3, an upgrade to its masking and selection tools for Adobe Photoshop. The latest release uses advanced color matching and decontamination technology, “giving users the ability to create flawless real-life masks.” Mask Pro 3 will be available for Mac OS 9.2.2 and Mac OS X in February for US$199.95.
