Several Apple retail stores report having stock of the new 12-inch PowerBook G4 with Combo drive, which was introduced at Macworld Expo in San Francisco on January 7. A check of Apple Stores in New York, NY, Columbus, OH, Orlando, FL, McLean, VA and Los Angeles, CA revealed that all stores just received their initial shipment today. No stores had information on when they would receive the SuperDrive-equipped 12-inch PowerBook or the 17-inch PowerBook. Updated (01-22-03 17:45):The folks at Maryland’s Mac Business Solutions lets us know that they also received a shipment of new 12-inch PowerBooks today. In addition, they’ve posted a small photo gallery of a new PowerBook and its packaging, and note that the laptops did not ship with iLife, OS X 10.2.4 or Safari.
