A representative from ePocrates let us know that the company has partnered with the Department of Health and Human Services to communicate bioterrorism alerts to users of its drug reference software via DocAlert messages. “When we launch ePocrates Rx Pro for Mac users in the coming weeks, they will be able to receive these alerts via AutoUpdate (when they HotSync while connected to the Internet). Currently the ePocrates AutoUpdate feature is not Mac-compatible so this will be a great development for Mac users, allowing them to access important bioterrorism and clinical alert information.”
