Kokorozashi today released iMage 1.0, an image file conversion utility. The new software quickly translates image files from one format to another “without hassle or fuss.” iMage imports JPEG, GIF, PNG, TIFF, Photoshop, PICT, BMP, MacPaint, and other file formats. It exports JPEG, PNG, TIFF, Photoshop, PICT, BMP, MacPaint, and other file formats. Under Mac OS X, iMage also imports PDF and imports and exports JPEG 2000. “You open the image document, choose a new format, close the document, and you’re done. No messing with filename extensions, no making the same decisions over and over again, and no waiting to load dozens of software features you don’t need,” said Pete Gontier, Kokorozashi president. iMage is freeware and works with both Mac OS X and Mac OS 8.6 or higher.
