Steve Jobs a ‘Picasso innovator’

Business 2.0 reports on University of Chicago economist David Galenson, who finds that innovators come in two distinct varieties — Picassos and Cézannes. The “edgy and brilliant” Apple CEO Steve Jobs is listed as a Picasso innovator. According to Galenson, Picassos are “bold, conceptual thinkers who peak early and innovate in dramatic leaps,” while Cézannes are “patient experimentalists who gradually improve with age.”
