Kensington today introduced a new line of MicroSaver computer locks, including the new MicroSaver Guaranteed Notebook Replacement (US$54.99), “the first notebook security cable strong enough to be backed by a laptop replacement guarantee.” According to Kensington, if a notebook is stolen while secured with the MicroSaver cable lock, which features Kevlar brand fiber and stainless steel braiding, the company will provide up to $1,500 to replace the notebook and up to $10,000 protection per registered purchaser per year. Kensington also introduced today a new standard MicroSaver ($44.99) with Kevlar fiber, and the ComboSaver ($39.99) keyless computer cable lock. All three locks work with current PowerBooks and iBooks.
