Adobe today announced the immediate availability of a new update to Photoshop designed to take full advantage of Apple’s new Power Mac G5. The plug-in update is designed to optimize Photoshop 7.0.1 for use with the G5 processor. “It makes the following changes to an existing Photoshop 7.0.1 installation: Modifies many Photoshop operations to fully utilize the G5 processor capabilities; Replaces the Adobe Color Engine component (ACECarbonLib) with a new version that is designed for the G5 processor.”
