Markzware today announced the availability of FlightCheck Professional 5, the latest release of its quality control tool for the print and multimedia manufacturing workflow market. Version 5 features Mac OS X compatibility; support for OpenType, TrueType and Adobe Type 1 fonts; a special PDF object model that allows access to virtually all intricate detail within a PDF file, based on the official Adobe specification; new PDF FlightPlan checks for accredited file format standards, including PDF/X-1a, PDF/X-3, Medibel and others; three levels of Ground Controls, including pass, error and warning; the ability to open and verify multiple documents in a single session; a malleable user interface that conforms to the user’s preferences for reports and information workflow; and more. FlightCheck Professional is priced at US$499, with an upgrade price of $199. Markzware also announced FlightCheck Designer 5 (formerly FlightCheck Collect!), a simplified version of FlightCheck Professional. FlightCheck Designer 5 is priced at $199, with an upgrade price of $99.
