The combination of Bookends and the Mac OS X word processor Mellel lets you insert temporary citations, quickly review/find/edit any citation in a manuscript, instantly look up citations in Bookends, search for references, scan a document to produce a final manuscript and bibliography, and more. Bookends 7.7 also works with Sonny Software’s new free application Reference Miner to save books or articles found online at Amazon or PubMed. Bookends 7.7 retails for US$99 ($69 for students).
