@Last Software introduced today SketchUp 3.1, the latest release of the company’s 3-D design software. New features in version 3.1 include: the addition of thumbnail images to the component browser; 2D vector export (PDF, EPS, DWG and DXF) now supports text and dimensions; and the direct export of SketchUp models to Piranesi EPIX format has been enhanced and added to the Mac OS X version. SketchUp 3.1 is free to owners of SketchUp 3.0 and US$95 for owners of 2.2 and earlier versions. Demonstrations of this release can be seen at booth #1543 at Macworld Expo in San Francisco.
