Lexar Media today announced it has doubled the capacity of its JumpDrive 2.0 Pro USB flash drive to 2 Gigabytes. The increased storage capacity of the JumpDrive 2.0 Pro is supported by a 40X speed rating which signifies a minimum read/write speed of 6MB per second, says the company. All JumpDrives are backward compatible with USB 1.1 ports and operated on Windows 2000/Me/XP, Mac OS 8.6+, and Mac OS X. The 2GB JumpDrive 2.0 Pro will ship next month for about US$999.99. Also announced by Lexar today are JumpDrive Secure 2.0, JumpDrive Sport, JumpDrive Elite, JumpDrive Traveler, and JumpGear-MP3.
