There’s a new pre-packaged set of security filters for Redline OverDrive, a control environment that runs on Redline Networks E/X enterprise application processors. The filters are targeted to enterprises worried their Web sites could be the targets of distributed denial-of-service (DDOS) attacks such as the MyDoom worm. The filters perform rule-based content processing to combat DDOS attacks initiated by worms and viruses, as a complement to an enterprise’s existing layered approach to network security.
