Targeted to private and professional users who need to re-encode small or mid-volumes of paper information, the software recognizes and converts books, magazines, invoices, price lists, reports, etc., as well as read-only PDFs, into editable text. Version 9 offers a revamped user interface, a new engine and “Autoformat Technology” designed to enhance formatting speed and accuracy, and more. It runs under Mac OS X (10.1 or higher) and Mac OS 9.X. Readiris Pro 9 Standard Edition has a manufacturers suggested retail price of US$149; the Readiris Pro 9 Corporate Edition is $399.
