Thursby Software has made available a beta version of its new AD Commander technology for customer review and input. AD Commander is designed for administrators responsible for maintaining Active Directory user accounts and is the only offering of its kind for the Macintosh, according to the company. AD Commander allows the user to create, modify and delete organizational users, groups, user and computer accounts. It can also be used to configure home folders for users, handling the folder creation and setting the appropriate ownership. Thursby has also released ADmitMac 1.1.1, a new version of its solution for integrating Macs into Microsoft Active Directory environments.
