ProLine, a producer of accessories and media packaging for the computer and home entertainment environments, has rolled out Disc Guard 2, an invisible disc coating that the company claims makes the data side of all disc formats more scratch resistant. The formulation is a liquid compound of emulsifiable resins that buff on and off a disc. Disc Guard 2 is available in a US$16.95 kit that includes a disc-gripping applicator base, two soft application and buffing cloths along with a two-fluid ounce bottle of the formula for conditioning over 200 discs.
