F5 Networks has announced a new version of FirePass Controller, its Secure Sockets Layer Virtual Private Network (SSL VPN) solution with complete cross-platform support. The new version extends the product’s support for any IP (Internet Protocol) application to Mac and Linux clients and expands client and application security for Web and file application access. Available next month as a software upgrade for all FirePass 1000 and 4000 controllers, the list price for FirePass Controller starts at US$9,990.
