Konfabulator gets reworked text engine

Konfabulator, the Mac OS X software that lets you run small files called widgets, which “can do pretty much whatever you want them to,” has been updated to version 1.7. The update sports a completely reworked our text engine to support international characters and character sets. This means you can run Japanese widgets without having to make your primary language Japanese, or any other language that uses an extended character set. Also, now you can listen to all your Japanese tracks in iTunes without seeing a string of question marks. Konfabulator’s developer tools have also been enhanced. The update is free to registered users; for new users the cost is US$25.
