At the Worldwide Developer Conference keynote today, the next major release of Xcode, Apple’s suite of developer tools, was previewed. The second version will add support for 64-bit application development and faster turnaround times for creating Mac OS X applications. Xcode 2 will be included in Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger), which will be available in the first half of 2005 for a suggested retail price of US$129.
