Apple wins four IDEA awards

Apple has won four Industrial Design Excellence Awards (IDEA). The annual contest, sponsored by BusinessWeek, honors the best and most innovative in industrial design. The iPod Mini and the Power Mac G5 were Gold (the highest honor) winners. The iSight took home a Silver award, while the Apple Wireless Keyboard won a Bronze IDEA. In 2003 the 12-inch and 17-inch PowerBooks received “Gold” Awards and Apple’s Xserve took home a Silver trophy. Two years ago Apple won Gold IDEA awards for its retail stores, Macworld San Francisco set-up, flat-panel iMac and iPod, while the iBook took a Silver award.
