August Cocoa Bootcamp at the Big Nerd Ranch

Atlanta, GA – July 13, 2004 – Beat the Summer Heat with Cocoa: the Big Nerd
Ranch announces its Cocoa Bootcamp for August 23-27, 2004

Fresh from the WWDC buzz surrounding the release of the second edition of
“Cocoa Programming for Mac OS X” by Aaron Hillegass, the Big Nerd Ranch is
announcing the newest offering of its popular Cocoa Bootcamp, August 23-27.
The book, which is also used as the course text, includes chapters on Cocoa
bindings and OpenGL.

Cocoa Bootcamp instructor, Aaron Hillegass, said, “It is clear from our
experiences at WWDC that Cocoa Bindings are going to take a major role in
the future of Cocoa. Starting in August, Cocoa Bootcamp will more heavily
emphasize and more deeply explore bindings and the NSController.”

The course, like the book, is in keeping with the Big Nerd Ranch teaching
philosophy, which stresses a casual yet focused presentation. Brief
lectures are followed by exercises designed to give the student an
immediate and relevant understanding of the topic. By truly being a
bootcamp, where students undergo rigorous and intensive hands-on
instruction, students leave the five-day session having mastered the
necessary skills to begin programming in Cocoa.
