Harman Multimedia today officially announced the JBL On Stage, its desktop speaker station specifically designed for Apple’s iPod and iPod mini. First shown earlier this year at Macworld Expo in Boston, On Stage is “the sleekest and highest quality docking spot for iPod, allowing for crisp-sounding tunes, synchronization and charging in one unit.” Comprising four Odyssey transducers, On Stage delivers 12 watts of total power for “astonishing bass and clear, accurate sound.” Harman said that the US$199.95 gadget is available exclusively at Apple retail stores and the online Apple Store through the end of December.
