Last week Kevin Maney wrote an article for USA Today about “a virus giving a lobotomy to my Windows XP home computer.” Maney says that he received more email feedback from that column than ever before — many from Mac users. “Get a Mac! There,” he writes. “I hope all you Apple crazies are happy now and WILL STOP E-MAILING ME!” Maney goes on to say that the increasing frequency and severity of virus attacks on PCs “might be the biggest challenge to Microsoft in years.” As has been reported by various media outlets recently, many Windows users are flocking to Mac OS X and Linux to escape the onslaught.
