Dan DeLorenzo of the Associated Press has written a column about the variety of iPod speakers currently available on the market. “I tested five systems for a month with my iPod mini in a variety of settings — the beach, at a dinner party — to see which had acceptable sound quality and volume, and which were convenient enough to wriggle into my daily routine,” writes DeLorenzo. Overall he found Bose’s new SoundDock (see related story) had the best sound quality, but it is also the most expensive (US$299).
