In addition to the Microsoft Office 2004 Service Pack 1 (11.1.0) update released yesterday, the software giant has now released security updates to Office 2001 and Office v. X. The updates appear to address a critical flaw found in Microsoft Excel. Microsoft Office 2001 for Mac Security Update (9.0.5) specifically addresses “several security and stability issues with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Entourage for Office 2001.” Microsoft Office v. X for Mac Security Update (10.1.6) addresses several “stability issues with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Entourage, and Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications for Office v. X,” according to the company.
