DropDMG 2.5 from developer Michael Tsai is the latest version of the utility for creating Mac OS X disk images and archives. DropDMG supports encryption, segmented images, custom icons, and images with rich-text license agreements in multiple languages. Version 2.5 adds support for creating archives in Mac OS X 10.3 Panther’s Zip format; the ability to create StuffIt X archives; support for converting .tar, .tgz, .tar.gz, and .tar.bz archives to disk images (as well as to .zip and .sitx); support for .cdr (DVD/CD-R master) images; the ability to create a custom icon for the mounted image, and more. DropDMG is priced at US$15.
