Apple’s iTunes Music Store has posted the top 100 songs and the top 100 albums of 2004. The top five songs are: “This Love” by Maroon 5, “Yeah!” by Usher, “The Reason” by Hoobastank, “Let’s Get It Started (Spike Mix)” by Black Eyed Peas, and “Vertigo” by U2. The top five albums are: U2’s How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb, Maroon 5’s Songs About Jane, Green Day’s American Idiot, Ashlee Simpson’s Autobiography, and Avril Lavigne’s Under My Skin. It is not clear if the lists were chosen by sales numbers or by Apple’s music team.
