G-Technology today introduced G-SAFE, a new line of fail-safe FireWire 800 RAID systems for personal computers. G-SAFE is equipped with an on-board hardware RAID 1 controller that seamlessly mirrors data to provide the user with fail-safe operation and peace of mind, notes the announcement. G-SAFE sports a high-speed FireWire 800 interface for fast data transfers and is available in useable storage capacities up to 400 GB. G-SAFE will be available in February 2005 with list prices starting at US$399. Pre-orders are being taken now.
