FMR Corp. holds a 5.6 percent stake in Apple, according to a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing on Monday. “FMR, the parent company of No. 1 mutual fund firm Fidelity Investments, held more than 22.5 million shares of Apple common stock as of Dec. 31, according to the SEC filing indicating a ‘passive’ stake,” reports Reuters. “Under such a filing, the investor is not required to provide details such as when shares were acquired or sold or the cost of the transaction.”
