DEVONtechnologies today released a second public beta of its flagship product, DEVONthink Professional, the latest release of the company’s “paperless office” utility. Rapidly approaching the planned release date for the final version, the August 17, 2005, the second public beta of DEVONthink Professional brings a number of new and enhanced features in addition to the several bug fixes. “A new DEVONjot Pro Dashboard widget, specifically optimized for DEVONthink Professional, makes it easy to jot down notes, and six new AppleScript scripts help archiving backups, printing documents to the database as PDF, listing all items and modifying the creation and modification dates of groups and documents,” notes the company. In addition, new online help has been added. DEVONthink Professional requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later and is priced at US$75.
