Apple opens iTunes Music Store in Japan

Apple, as expected, today announced it has opened its iTunes Music Store in Japan, reports. The store will carry about 1 million songs to start, priced at 150 yen (about US$1.35) each. “We’re super excited about this,” Apple CEO Steve Jobs said in Tokyo as he announced the launching of the iTunes service. “iTunes and iPod are leading the digital music revolution. We are thrilled to be bringing the iTunes Music Store to Japan, and hope music fans here love it as much as others around the world do.”
