PC-Mac PasswordVault v4.3 Adds Drag-And-Drop And Timed-Paste Modes

ADELAIDE, AUSTRALIA — August 9, 2005 — Lava Software is now shipping
PC-Mac PasswordVault v4.3, a simple and practical password manager for
Windows, Mac OS and Linux. The portable version runs directly off USB flash
drives, providing users with secure access to their website usernames and
passwords, Internet banking and other data when they’re on the road, as
well as the convenience of auto-synchronization when they return to their
desktop computer.

This version offers new methods to transfer username and password
information to a web browser (or other application), including
‘Drag-And-Drop’ and ‘Timed-Paste’. In ‘Drag-And-Drop’ mode, username or
password text can be dragged directly from PC-Mac PasswordVault into the
web browser textbox. In ‘Timed-Paste’ mode, username or password text is
pasted automatically after the set delay time. This new version also
contains a number of minor enhancements and bug fixes.

Features in PC-Mac PasswordVault include very strong 896-bit encryption, a
unique Master Password Recovery System (MPRS), random password generator,
auto-lock timer (with clipboard clear), very powerful import and export
functions, masked passwords, user defined service categories, and enhanced
support for use in large organizations (The University of Illinois has
purchased site licenses of PC-Mac PasswordVault for their campuses at
Urbana-Champaign, Chicago and Springfield).

The free Lite Edition of PC-Mac PasswordVault v4.3 is available for
immediate download from http://www.lavasoftware.com and supports up to 15
services, whilst the Standard Edition supports any number of services.
Individual licenses of the Standard Edition are priced at USD19.95 each and
allow the user to concurrently run two copies of the software, and
purchasers get download access to the current version of the software for
all platforms (both desktop and portable USB flash drive versions), as well
as free upgrades for one year. Site licenses for companies, universities
and other organizations are available from USD99.00. OEM pricing,
