immediate availability of a TrendyMac 0.9.18, a native client-side OS X web
logfile analyzer.
TrendyMac is a web server logfile analyzer developed for OS X users, who
need to evaluate logfiles in a simple yet powerful way. Other solutions
live on a web server and require complex configuration. TrendyMac lives on
an OS X system, evaluates logfiles and presents an interactive view of
analysis results. Analysis results can be further evaluated using filters,
sort options and ‘Focus on’ features.
TrendyMac’s default settings fit a broad range of typical analysis needs.

– Automatically skips duplicate logfiles (for raw and GZIP files
sharing a common base names)
– Allows to exclude URLs based on patterns (e.g. ‘.jpeg’ skips all
JPEG-files)
– Allows to exclude referrers based on patterns
– Versatile regular expression reports. Customizable. Set of useful
default patterns included.
– Evaluates search engine queries (Google, MSN, AOL and more)
– Evaluates visitors, requested pages, referrers
– Evaluates HTTP protocol and HTTP command
– Evaluates HTTP result code and highlights entries based on severity
– Prepares timely distribution reports based on day of week, hour,
month and year
– Allows to restrict reports to a period of time
– Allows to restrict reports tospecific servers
– Computes sum totals of hits and pages, as well as sub totals for
excluded pages
– Maps IP-adresses of visitors to domain names (FQDN)
– Allows to live sort and filter reports using typical Mac-techniques
(Apple.Mail search fileld)
The current release 0.9.18 is a prerelease of the final application.
For evaluation purposes, this release processes any number of logfiles, but
cripples results.
