FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Salem, NH, 2006-01-13: Macintosh speech recognition authority MacSpeech
announces its Essentials for Mac OS X ScriptPak bundle, with over 750
commands that give users complete control over 13 applications that are
included with Mac OS X version 10.4 (“Tiger”)
The new ScriptPak bundle add command sets for Address Book, Calculator, DVD
Player, Font Book, Grab, iCal, iChat, Image Capture, Keychain Access,
Preview, QuickTime Player, Sherlock and Stickies.
“This is a great bundle for those who want more control of the applications
they use every day — the ones that come with Mac OS X,” said MacSpeech
Chief Evangelist Chuck Rogers. “We have been wanting to do these for a long
time, but it was only recently we felt comfortable loading this many
commands into a user’s profile.”
The Essentials for Mac OS X ScriptPak sells for $39 and is available from
the MacSpeech online store, or from the MacSpeech booth (#738) at Macworld.
ScriptPaks work with MacSpeech’s flagship product, iListen, whose
TalkAnywhere technology allows users to dictate anywhere they would
normally type. ScriptPaks enhance iListen’s Command & Control capabilities
by teaching it about the individual keyboard and menu commands in a
specific program. ScriptPaks only affect iListen’s ability to control an
application and are not required for dictation.
MacSpeech offers several iListen packages, including a software only
solution for $99, and a software and headset with microphone for $149.
MacSpeech is a Mac-only company dedicated to producing the finest speech
products for Macintosh.
